Dahomie Con-Plex has written a letter and it’s an ode to all of the teens and leaders who have tragically been murdered at the hands of discriminating individuals who failed to see them as equal. Con-Plex addresses “Letters” Huey Newton, Trayvon Martin, and Malcolm Little (aka Malcolm X). Although the list of slain black men at the hands of wrongfully empowered law enforcement and other discriminating issues greatly outnumber this list, the message stands strong. “Letters” serves as reassurance to these spirits that their untimely and tragic deaths will not go in vain and they can fly free because they are indeed free now. It is the rest of the world which is left to fight and defend for what right and just! If you believe there needs to be a change in our society be sure to listen to this song.
