Earlier this month, Cassidy returned to his battle rap roots and assured Hip-Hop fans that his talents haven’t diminished, as he squared off against fellow emcee, Dizaster, at “Ether.” He recently revealed that he will be engaging in another battle rap showdown that’ll air on Pay-Per View within the next few months. Even though, his opponent hasn’t been announced yet, Cassidy has revealed that he is getting paid $500,000 to take part in the event.
While speaking to a reporter from BattleRap.com, Cassidy spoke about his willingness to partake in battle rap events, because that where it all started for him . “I battled ’cause that’s what I love to do. That’s the cloth I’m cut from. ” Cassidy went onto say that even though his love for battle rap in undeniable, he isn’t willing to do it for chump change. “When I go to the club to party, people gotta pay me to come do what I love to do ’cause I’m me. I feel it’s the same thing with this battle shit. Niggas gotta pay me.”
Expect details about who Cassidy’s next opponent will be and when the showdown will take place to emerge within the next couple of weeks.
