It is safe to say that the infamous futuristic “Toronto Sound” is soon to (if it hasn’t already) takeover music here in the States. The arrival of David Versis is proof of that. The now Grammy Nominated producer (Wiz Khalifa, Blacc Hollywood) has been dropping bomb singles for the last couple of months. His most recent track Kill The Lights proves he can fast forward you in time with his sound but allow you to stay in touch with reality. In the song he speaks on the most mysterious thing known to women: the male perspective post-breakup.
“You were the only one I would run to, I was the only you was stuck too…”
“You serenade me with F*** you’s…”
“All I want to do is kiss you that’s the F*** thing…”
“You cry girl, I punch things…”
