Following many sporadic leaks, BJ the Chicago Kid has finally decided to gift us with the release of his new tape, The M.A.F.E. Project. The highly slept on soul singer-songwriter, who has worked with the likes of the majority of the TDE camp, Usher, Kanye West, etc., enlisted Freddie Gibbs, Sasha Go Hard, the Kushed God, Smoke Dza and Kobe for the 11-track tape.
With all of the critical feedback in response to the biopic, Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, migrating on the web, a standout bonus track is the flawlessly tackled rendition of Aaliyah‘s 1996 hit single, “One in a Million,” which eventually transitions into a soulful mash-up of Jodeci‘s “Feenin’.”
