In our last interview earlier this month, Dyme-A-Duzin briefly spoke about an upcoming video entitled “The Real Swank” that he planned to release in promotion of his recent album, “Hip Hope“: that video has finally arrived! Directed and edited by Tanner W. Jarman, Dyme rhymes over a hard beat all over Brooklyn, spittin’ lyrics aggressively left and right with a tone of anger and competitiveness flourishing throughout the track.
When we spoke to Dymez previously about his intention for the video and track, this is what he had to say:
The concept of “The Real Swank” was something I created in high school. ‘Swank’ is a mindset. Someone with ‘Swank’ has a sense of class, style & luxuriousness regardless of their status. There are people out there that try to claim the term as their own but don’t represent themselves in that way. I’m just letting them know who the original ‘Swank’ is.
It’s tough to call it, but it seems Dyme-A-Duzin is sending war shots to some fellow Brooklyn artists he’s been butting heads with for the past couple of months. Whether he is sending personal shots or not, the track is definitely a banger and worth checking out. Let us know what you think down below!
