What a fun pick-me-up video for this dreary Hump Day.
Meet Shamir Bailey: a 19 year-old rapper from Las Vegas. Now signed to XL Recordings, Bailey released his first EP, Northtown on Godmode label. Last week, this quirky, original video for “On The Regular” was released, showing off the artists youthfulness and spunk.
Decked out in thrift store treasures, Bailey brings an energy to the game that’s naive and refreshing. He raps, “Don’t try me, I’m not a free sample. Step to me and you will be handled.”
Saint Heron likened Bailey’s style to that of Azealia Banks. What do you think?
