Young Jazz Cartier of Toronto released a new video today for two songs, “Switch” and “The Downtown Cliché.” Only those with a link can see it, so it’s super cool and exclusive (I got it through Fader). Jazz’s “they’re sour, then they’re sweet” style is paired nicely with Lantz‘s production on “Switch.” He’s more unadulteratedly sour on “The Downtown Cliché” in a Denzel Curry meets Young Thug kind of way. As he and his crew calmly rap along to the lyrics in the video and stroll through Toronto, they resemble a more cohesive Rvidxr Klvn in colder weather mixed with a gang from The Warriors. Watch the video below and keep your eye out for more releases by Jazz Cartier.
