The trend of rappers collaborating with dancehall lords continues with Juicy J‘s latest verse on Derek Rhodes’ single “#Allyoop.” Rhodes is a new-comer to the dance music scene, but continues to prove his worth by teaming up with Def Jam hit-producer Reid Stefan.
“There’s some bitches in this club / But ain’t none as bad as you,” the track repeats over and over on top of a banging beat. The energy builds and builds throughout the track, inciting manic steps to the hard hitting drum beat and thumping bass as the baddest girl in the club shakes it for Rhodes and Juicy J. For a trap record, this track looks to the past but also towards the future. Juicy J’s unique rhythm and upbeat vibe mesh perfectly with the intense momentum of the song, both bringing the track to a climax and reigning in the frenetic energy.
This “club-killer” is definitely one that you’ll be hearing at the next party you attend. It will be exciting to see where Rhodes goes next, and who will be the next to grace his foot-stomping sounds.
