Future’s #MONSTER Instagram posts finally mean something. The ATL hip-hop giant lit up twitter today with announcement of his forthcoming mixtape of the same name. The mixtape was announced on Instagram with a photo of the surprisingly professional looking album artwork, which interestingly resembles the controversial Yeezus tour merchandise.
Monster will be his 9th mixtape, and is scheduled to drop on October 28th. It will be executively produced by fellow Atlanta hip-hop icon, Metro Boomin’, the emerging producer responsible for ILOVEMAKKONEN and Drake’s summer anthem, “Club Going Up.” He’s also responsible for other bangers by Gucci Mane, Young Thug and Travis Scott.
We already know that Metro Boomin’ and Future make a great pair, seeing as their collaboration resulted “I Won” and “Honest,” two of the most memorable track’s from Future’s recent studio album Honest. Also given the diversity in sentiment these two tracks alone, I don’t anticipate a monotonous, forgettable mixtape.
