Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie released her first single in six years. The track, titled “L.A. Love (La La)” shows the artists’ firm pride in her city and it’s culture. “All these amazing things are happening. It’s good vibes. We’re sending L.A. love throughout the world. L.A. Love movement,” she said to E! News. Fittingly, Los Angeles based DJ Mustard produced the track.
In the song, Fergie hits every major pop note: a catchy intro and main verse, a ton of city names, and bridge with a cool beat. In typical “Fergalicious” fashion, the singer spits some pretty strong game in between almost whisper soft croons and blaring screams of the main chorus. No matter where in the world The Dutchess is, you can be sure she’ll be repping her city.
Not gonna lie, it was a little unnerving to hear that the singer was back, especially given the artwork for this latest track. But Fergie delivers on this one.
