That’s a sight to see. Daily Show host and general sage Jon Stewart had the whole damn Clan (even ODB makes it, via a shirt), over for a chat and performance last night. Stewart expertly maneuvers an interview of about half of them, even takes some knowing potshots about Raekwon‘s public difficulty surrounding the reunion, and, admirably, doesn’t mess up any of their names, which is not only a problem any other news (or “news”) anchor would have had, but is something that’s hard even for students of the genre like ourselves.
After the brief interview, the Killa Bees go on to perform their new single, “Ron O’Neil,” which sounds from this performance, like a good compromise between a wide-appeal sound that doesn’t make an ill-fated grab for the glory days, while still bringing the pain in full. The show ends on a great note as for Stewarts “Moment of Zen,” the Wu perform “Triumph,” or rather, as much of it as they can get off before the time slot is up. It is all 9 MCs after all.
