It’s hard to imagine a better beat for Black Milk to spit some “midnight on the corner rap” as he put it. That hard kick, those murky keys (or guitar?) build an amazing, hot and humid atmosphere, and those sparse hi-hats cut right through it like a switchblade in the dark. The highlight–outside of BADBADNOTGOOD‘s instrumental is when Black switches the flow for that shorter verse at the end.
