Lit blunts. Cups of liquor. Wild-childs crowding the stage. This was the scene at the Juicy J concert last night at Terminal 5. As we were all patiently waiting for the show to start, the lights dimmed suddenly. Over the loud speakers, Juicy’s Memphis drawl emerged. The crowd went wild.
Juicy isn’t new to the stage or the pandemonium that awaits him every time he gets up there. After shouting out NYC, he smoothly transitioned into his first song of the night, “Holy Ghost,” a new track that features Lil Bibby. The crowd shouted along as they twerked, two stepped and jumped up and down. We all knew it was about to be a great night.
Juicy performed a slew of tracks that included “Bandz A Make Her Dance,” “You Don’t Know,” “Word On The Town” and many more. But his shining moment was when he performed snippets of his tracks with Three 6 Mafia. When “Sippin’ On Some Syrup” dropped, the crowd absolutely lost it; they couldn’t get enough of the throwback hits. As the songs kept rolling, more blunts got lit, the liquor flowed, and the crowd stayed trippy.
The OG rapper couldn’t have hit NYC at a better time. With the summer finally coming ablaze, Juicy J was the gas needed to keep the fire burning. Check out photos from the show courtesy of Alejandro Garcia down below.
