Hip-hop still often finds itself fighting an uphill battle for recognition and respect as an art form. For that reason, and because rarely could J Dilla be overly-celebrated, we are glad to report that the Detroit legend’s weapon of choice is going to be exhibited in the hallowed Smithsonian Museum halls–specifically, the museum of African American History & Culture.
