Perrion strolls through Rocket Science with an important effortlessness. A lot of what makes rap songs “work” or “not work” is how comfortable the rapper sounds on the beat: is he/she confident? Is this genuine? Is this a professional? What gets rappers a foot in the door isn’t going to be a hot line or two, especially if it seems like too much of a labor to create/perform well. This is why Perrion works. He bends to what the beat craves, and gives it over. No problem. It’s not rocket science, it’s Rocket Science.
