Kendrick may be hard at work on his sophomore effort, but his debut isn’t going away any time soon. On August 9, Lamar, along with director Kahlil Joseph, will unveil m.A.A.d, a 14-minute short film based on the Compton MC’s platinum debut. The screening will take place at Sundance’s NEXT Festival at the Ace Hotel Downtown in Los Angeles. The film is described as “a kaleidoscope of storylines and ideas that defy typical categorization to explore new languages and new forms.” Both Kendrick and Kahlil will be attending the event and participating in a discussion panel following the screening.
