We’re proud to present the latest cover of RESPECT., featuring the West Coast tandem that shook the industry like an Etch-A-Sketch this year. YG and DJ Mustard are gritty and true to life; they walk a hard-hitting line of bringing back the gangsta sound of the 90’s West and forging a new, more stutter-step future. Along YG and Mustard, our new issue will feature Chicago soldier Lil Bibby, whose hardened-beyond-his-years voice and sharp verses have earned him a spot on this year’s XXL Freshman list and everyone’s radar. This issue will also feature Skyzoo and Torae, the duo behind the recently released and undeniably bumping Barrel Brothers, as well as Smack and Beasley, founders of the world’s hardest rap league, URL, and Jon Connor Detroit’s earnest lyrical technician. This issue is a monster, so plan accordingly and be on watch for the drop. It’s curated by our new Editor In Chief, Datwon Thomas.
