It has been nine years since the world was first introduced to The Game, when he stepped onto the music scene with the release of his debut studio album, The Documentary. The album, which peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, moved 586,000 units during its first week of having been released and has been dubbed by many music critics worldwide as Game’s best work to date.
Nearly a decade later, the Compton native has recently announced that a continuation of the album is officially in the works. In an interview with Power 106’s Justin Credible and J Cruz, he revealed that he’s been reaching out to the producers who worked on the first project. “I’m going back to the Just Blazes, Scott Storches, Dr. Dres… We gon’ get it handled,” he said.
Prior to releasing The Documentary 2, though, Game has been gearing up for his forthcoming compilation project titled Blood Money La Familia, set to be released this upcoming September. The project will include features from artists such as Wale, Problem, Wiz Khalifa and more.
