Junglepussy wants to connect. She cares deeply about how listeners receive her music, and that is certainly the case for her upcoming debut album, Satisfaction Guaranteed, due out next Tuesday. At first glance, Junglepussy’s music might, for a second, seem very light. But there’s a degree of underlying sinister content—that is almost certain when you hear the 11-track album, which includes features from Chicago Drill-princess and Tink, as well as vocal contributions from co-producer Mell Masters and Dai Burger.
The song list also includes the singles “Picky Bitch Checklist,” “Curve ‘Em,” and title track “Satisfaction Guaranteed.” Her pairing on the project with producer Shy Guy is a natural fit. Both are working on the same creative page, but it’s the way they communicate—with plenty of punchlines and sleek bars, melding multiple genres and lurching synths that demands repeat plays.
