It seems like Hov finally got his response. Sort of. To give credit where it’s due, Drake doesn’t always backpedal. but to call it like it is, he does a whole lot here. In addition to pretty much apologizing for mocking Jay‘s (very mockable) art-rap fetish, saying “We all do it for the art so I can never hate though,” he takes the most useless “shot” at Chance The Rapper. “You should’ve followed all my moves, you won’t realize ’til after /
And if I left shit to chance I would’ve picked a name like Chance The Rapper,” Drake raps, already leaving us scratching our heads as to why he mentioned Chance, though alone it’s an OK line. Following that line up with, “No offense cause I don’t know that nigga,” is not OK, however, because it takes all of the interest out of the moment and just makes Drake look like a an aimless shit-stirrer. But you know he had to do it for you…and Jennifer Lawrence? Here’s “Draft Day.”
