Drake turns Wednesday and Thursday into a 1-2 punch by dropping the eerie, slithering “Days In The East.” PARTYNEXTDOOR and 40 team up and provide an underwater behemoth of a beat, squarely in Drake’s wheelhouse. The most impressive part of “Days In The East,” though, is how effortlessly and quickly Aubrey transitions back and forth between the strained yelling vocal touch lent to tracks like “Worst Behaviour” with the more “Marvin’s Room”-esque flat singing that pervades the track.
