When he’s not serving beats under the alias JuJuan Allen, Butch Dawson emerges as a slick witted emcee with a good grip on his temperment. “Yung” is the perfect juxtaposition to his last offering, “Yadda Yadda”. The fumbling drums and messy horn on this track let Dawson explore his wild side, spitting, “Smoke a pound of purp right before I walk in church.” Though you’re not quite sure if he’s being facetious, it’s hard not to get trapped within the lines .
