The King Remembered In Time has released the first official single off his sophomore album, Cadillactica, entitled “MT. Olympus.” K.R.I.T. emerges to claim his crown as he takes a moment to hit on his mention in Kendrick Lamar‘s “Control” verse as well as various stereotypical topics that come with being a lyrical artist from the South. Borrowing ad-libs from Three 6 Mafia, K.R.I.T. also airs his frustrations with the indecisiveness of the music industry: “Thought they wanted gold, thought they wanted shine, thought they wanted radio, bitch, make up your mind.” K.R.I.T.’s monstrous production on “MT. Olympus” compliments his fiery lyricism and commands attention. Critics should take note, suit themselves in full body armor and pay attention. Cadillactica is due out this fall.
