Chicago producer Peter CottonTale has the privilege of sharing his hometown with some of the brightest up-and-coming talent in the hip-hop world. After recent collaborative work with Chi-town’s Chance the Rapper, he now enlists the help of fellow Windy City natives Vic Mensa and Kami de Chukwu for the remix of Sir Sly‘s indie track “Gold.” The broad, cinematic instrumentals of the remix are anchored by elastic, melodic verses from both featured MCs. Another strong offering from members of the SAVEMONEY collective, who continue to keep Chicago’s hip-hop scene on the up and up in 2014. Listen to “Gold (Peter CottonTale Remix)” below.
