After the success of his previous mixtape, The Otherside, Nikko Lafre and Feed The Family Inc. bring us Survival: Face The World, a 10-track EP that comes just before Nikko’s debut album, 1/1, due this spring. Even though Nikko is a Minneapolis, MN native, the mixtape is laced with southern influence and commentary from 2Pac and Pimp C. “Rebel” is worth paying particular attention to as it displays Nikko’s ability to provide vivid imagery through storytelling. Lee On The Beats, signed to DJ Khaled’s We The Best Music Group, handled the production along with Jabarrie, K. Beatz and Rocky Xavier.
