In honor of the Grammys last night, the good folks at Maybach Music Group released the video for “Black Grammys”off of Self Made Vol. 3. The song features MMG artists, Wale, Meek Mill, and Rockie Fresh, along with 2014 Grammy nominee J.Cole. The video is a compilation of promotional runs and concerts of the respective artists. Although they are still waiting to receive their first Grammy, the video shows that it is not a Gramophone trophy that solidifies their success, but it is through the love and support shown by their fans.
The song is merely a celebration of these artists’ careers thus far. Over the Tone P instrumental, Wale and company illustrate how their hard work has brought them to this point in their careers. Watch the video below.
