In promotion of his new EP album Cilvia Demo, out today, TDE recent acquisition Isaiah Rashad has released the video for “Soliloquy,” a brief and casual song in which the listener is privy to the rapper’s crisply-delivered inner thoughts, just like a soliloquy. The instrumental has a very peripheral presence once Rashad‘s verse starts, but the piano bubbles up through Rashad‘s words in a rather nifty way, almost as if his voice is the piano’s microphone.
The way TDE promotes its artists has always been unconventional, but this song is only further evidence that they’re clearly doing something right. As an introduction to an artist, it works perfectly, revealing little, yet piquing curiosity. Cilvia Demo should be an interesting listen. Watch “Soliloquy” below and purchase the project here. The tracklist is provided below the video.
