There are two strange things going on here. First, Vampire Weekend has teamed up with Danny Brown, Heems and Despot. Second, that trio of rappers has made one of the most cuddly rap songs in recent memory. Detailing their affection for their respective lovers, they warm the wintry song with some surprisingly tender verses. The reins are returned to Vampire Weekend by the end of the song, but it’s still a fairly heartfelt moment in rap. Listen below and hope that this happens again in the near future (albeit without the slightly condescending aura of chauvinism).
