Kid Cudi continues to beam music down from his moon-based space studio. His latest track to pass through the atmosphere, “Satellite Flight,” is the first from his forthcoming EP of the same name. Cudi, ever the cinematic artist, has said that the EP will be a prelude to his next full-length album, the third installment in the gleefully warped Man on the Moon series.
If “Satellite Flight” is any indication of what’s to come from Scott Mescudi, fans don’t have too much to worry about. Its sweeping orchestral sounds complement the otherworldly echoes of Cudi‘s voice in classic fashion, and it’s topped off with the latest in a long line of catchy hooks from Mr. Rager. Listeners have come to expect a certain duality from Cudi, who constantly walks the tightrope between being a singer and a rapper, but quality sing-song tracks like this typically appease even his strictest hip-hop fans. Check out the track below.
