Slow flow expert Casey Veggies has teamed up with frequent collaborator and fellow Californian Dom Kennedy for a remix to “Faces,” a track from his Life Changes mixtape from earlier this year. The song is a celebratory affair that highlights Veggies‘ growing success and his blushing reception. The song is definitely boastful, but there’s an underlying sense of awe at all the life changes he’s experiencing that makes the song fairly humble. This is a sonic parade float: Casey is proud to be the center of attention and he feels that he deserves the spotlight, yet he’s humbled by the fact that he knows the people don’t have to give it to him: there were dozens of others who applied to be in the parade, but he’s the one who got accepted.
