New Jersey duo Wyld Stylaz don’t reinvent the wheel; instead, they upgrade to chrome spinners. That’s not to say their new video for “Put In Work” lacks grit, though. From the grungy, basement backdrop for Wyld Stylaz‘ verses, to the pitch-lowered hook mantra of “We put that work in / Pockets never hurtin’,” to the swirls of smoke rising from every edge of the video, this most recent video single from Broken Mirage, (which dropped yesterday via DJ Booth,) serves up its fair share of dark excellence. The most gripping and dynamic moments are 2dee‘s stellar double time–and verse overall–to open the track, and the dramatic clap that enters the beat (produced by 2dee) halfway through each MC’s verse. Be sure to download Broken Mirage as soon as you’re done replaying “Put In Work.”
