SAVEMONEY representer and all-around talent Nico Segal a.k.a. Donnie Trumpet has just released the second music video from his brief, beautiful debut LP. Nico shot this video while touring Europe as a part of Frank Ocean‘s live band, and what the video therefore lacks in camera quality, it more than makes up for in giving us a more personal, open look at Nico as the funny guy we know him to be since interviewing him. The song, “New Business” puts Nico‘s MC-ing ability, in all its goofy glory, on display more than perhaps any other track on the Donnie Trumpet EP. Perhaps that’s why he and his camp chose this as the second video single–not only do we get to see the multi-layered artist in a more personal manner than we had ever before, but we also are also shown, that Donnie does so much more than sit behind a trumpet in the way that his name ironically implies.
