Here’s the exclusive premier of the breezy visuals for “2X” by Wax Society, an up-and-coming crew from Arizona. This is a serious summer head-nodder. Production is handled by Summer The Kid and features the Society members RED, Kollateral and Teek Hall. The video was directed by the talented Jakob Owens who previously shot smashers for XXL freshman Dizzy Wright, as well as other artists, including Futuristic and Hoodie Allen. Each member of the Wax Society crew has their own individual style allowing for any viewer to relate to them, and their various approaches merge together seamlessly. Teek Hall explains their individual styles as such:
I come from Detroit, my style is more lyrical, more influenced by 90s hip-hop. RED is from Arkansas, he is more Southern style and introspective. Kollateral grew up in Chicago and is influenced by the new cats there like Vic [Mensa] and Chance [The Rapper.] He is definitely new school. – Teek Hall
Tasked with summing up the group as a whole, Teek said, “Wax society is about a group of MCs getting together a BBQ for the summer,” which explains their choice for the visuals of their track. Check it out!

Kollateral killed it! It’s nice to see some new faces bringing back those old vibes I used to get from music videos on MTV.
