Rapsody keeps the high-profile collaborations coming, with this track easily boasting the most alluring names. Phonte handles the opening verse, using 9th Wonder‘s epic stomp-clap production as an opportunity to get on his boastful, punchline shit–“They never caught wind, still think that they could sail / Against my Sea World flow, I wish you niggas well [whale].” Rapsody then takes center stage, whispering before her verse that, “There is no emotion. There is peace. Jedi. ‘Til the day I die,” and then using her opening bars to quote Jay Electronica by misquoting Jay Z. Rapsody repeats the homage again in the second half of her verse, giving way to a sample of a few different bars from Jay Elect‘s “Exhibit A”–“It’s the most poetical, Nat King unforgettable / Clarence 13X Allah’s rhapsody from Bellevue,” setting the tone for yet another stunning whirlwind of voodoo rhymes from the Candy Man himself. Jay Elect kills the last verse, rounding out a seriously impressive collaboration of titans.
