If there is one thing that Lunar C knows, it’s how to craft a tightly-wound hit. On “Back On The Step”, the debut single off his forthcoming EP, Good Times and Dead Brain Cells, the Bradford rapper teams up with two fellow underground heavyweights. The track, which premiered yesterday on BBC 1xtra by MistaJam, sees Lunar C kicking off proceedings before passing the mic to Mic Righteous, to deliver some high-pitched, gritty rhymes about artistic integrity.
Not to be outdone, east London’s very own rhyme-spitter Scrufizzer jumps on board to close with some hard-hitting guest verses. Produced by Hash Finger, this is a tantalizing glimpse of the more personal direction Lunar C is taking for his forthcoming project. Listen below.
