Starting right in on the jagged piano loop, NY’s Homeboy Sandman lets loose a barrage of his patented free-associative, casually dense rhymes, letting us know “I ink blot cinder blocks, send ’em out to bloggers…”Yo it’s hot,” “No it’s not,” so goes the saga.” Contrasting the sleepy but on-point verse is a harsher chorus that, ironically tells us “Easy Does It,” followed by bars from the always tongue-twisting YC the Cynic and the intense, slurry I Am Many. The track, produced by M Slago comes as a reminder that Homeboy‘s project, All That I Hold Dear, is set to arrive in four days. We’ll be lucky enough to catch him live in just two days, in Boston.
