UK producer Matthew Barnes, AKA forest swords is releasing his new album, Engravings, on August 26. While this record will not appear on the album (no word yet on if it will make it onto Haleek’s upcoming works), it’s still very worthy of being heard.
Haleek flows perfectly over Forest’s icy, perfect-for-a-funeral beat. The Barbadian MC’s lyrics revolve around an obsession with death that would rival Tupac’s, while lashing out at world for betraying him. Listen below and “put your left hand up if you’re a bastard.”
