Meet Herakut, a team of German Street Artists formed in 2004. The two collaborators, Hera and Akut, work together through an ongoing dialogue that goes beyond the voices of the two artists: it also involves the viewer. Herakut often incorporate quotes of their own or of poets in order to crystallize the message they are trying to convey. Working with earthy tones and smooth blending techniques, their pieces absorb their background. They paint the relationship between human and animal characters as a social commentary on human nature–the good and the bad and the wars we fight within ourselves.
