After reaching the finals on the UK’s version of The X Factor, hip-hop duo MK1 are now turning their success into a burgeoning music career, releasing their debut single, “Let Go.” Produced by Skripture, the track is built on a breezy, synth-heavy beat that will surely be played in more than a few cars with their tops down. Flowing effortlessly over the summertime, string-drenched beat, the group, made up of Charlie Rundle, and Simeon ‘Sim’ Dixon, shows exactly why they have the nation buzzing with their tongue-in-cheek rhymes.
“It’s about letting go of everything that is on your mind and escaping to your own little place,” Charlie tells RESPECT. Sim Dixon added: “It’s about letting go of all insecurities, worries and negativity and living life to the fullest without regret.” If you’re feeling this poignant introduction, more brightness awaits on MK1’s debut album.
