Though he’s only 16, Bishop Nehru is a better lyricist than 95% of rappers in his age bracket and beyond. But that’s old news. If you know the name, you know his talent. If you don’t, allow this video to be your introduction. Shot, edited and directed by Bishop himself, “Muffled/M.I.C” is the young emcee’s latest offering. Pairing a flow that’s overwhelmingly Brooklyn boom bap with a camera (phone?), Nehru takes us through a normal day in his life.
He wakes up to check his Twitter, gets ready to head out, and finds friends to eventually chill with – nothing too fancy. Nehru lets the twisting and turning of the camera do the real work. The video is shorter than his others – clocking in at only 2:03 – but long enough to leave you wanting more. Watch below.
His next mixtape, Strictly Flowz, is supposed to drop on July 27th.
