We never compare white rappers to other white rappers because that’s lame and Yelawolf solved that whole issue, so don’t judge us when we say this video is reminiscent of Eminem circa 2002. The antics, the superhero costume and the pacing were all staples of Slim Shady’s videos during that era. In fact, if you look at Busta Rhymes‘ and Missy Elliot’s video catalogs, you’ll see the same antics; Eminem just took them to their peak.
Anyway, back to Mac Miller! “S.D.S.” is another entry in Mac’s increasingly diverse catalog. Rhyming over some aery Flying Lotus production, he floats through the song touching down only to drop gems before accelerating back up into the stratosphere. The video follows suit. Enjoy.
