Prefab77 is a collective of three British artists. The group methodically begins by sketching, then moves to planning and, only then, builds their images. Once originals are produced, their work gets “chopped, popped and slapped” onto the walls of the UK. The artists produce satirical works that pay homage to contemporary issues in Britain. They draw some of their inspiration from found imagery, some from popular culture, and even punk culture. Their work is visually provocative. Prefab77 has a graphic approach to art, and they qualify their work as “Dark, funny, beautiful…part fantasy part social comment, fading institutions and emerging futures.” Read more of the same interview with Prefab77 here.
