It’s hard to both make ends meet and follow your dreams. Playing off this idea Bay Area based MC KnowItAll, releases his first solo LP Weekend Rapstar. As a member of the Bay Area based trio, League 510, KnowItAll is finally stepping out of the limelight with his new project. Of the project he says,
During the week I’m Calvin Harris, a mild mannered consumer electronics salesman at one of the world’s leading retailers. On the weekends I transform into, KnowItAll, a rap superstar/ hip-hop hero who uses his powers for truth, justice and to entertain the people! I travel, write, rock shows, go to the studio, and collaborate with other artists.
There are millions of people just like me all over the world: part-time artists, writers, musicians, designers, dancers, techies, etc. Most of us are passionate, talented people just looking to catch a break and live out a dream. With Weekend Rapstar I want to reach those people. I want everyone to enjoy the music and have a good time, however this project is truly meant to inspire. I hope to encourage people to embrace their God-given talents and to live for their dreams and passions. I want people to hear this project and get inspired to rally for justice and fight for equal rights! I did this album for the people and now it’s time to make my voice heard!
