If Danny Brown is trying to break into the Karaoke business, then the the visuals for his new song “Jealousy” are a pretty good start. The music video as a whole looks like GloboDigitalVid put Tumblr and Pen and Pixel in a blender, poured it in a cup from the 1990’s and sprinkled some low-fi VHS optics on top.
Yet, even with such an awesome music video, the song “Jealousy” is not overpowered by its graphics. Danny’s clever lyrics matched with The Purist‘s haunting synthesizers and samples form the Notorious BIG will make this track stand out on The Purist’s new mixtape TR-ILL (we see what you did there). The mixtape is compilation of the British artists’s multiplexed beats with features from rappers like Big Twins, Havoc, and Sean Price. But for now, if you are into eerie, blaxplotation-infused soundscapes or Danny Browns freaky flow, then “Jealousy” is definitely the track for you.
