Young One Records put on a stacked showcase of hip-hop up and comers Wednesday night at 285 Kent. Squadda Bambino and Mondre Man, better known as the crazy California duo, Main Attraktionz, shared the stage with North Carolina newcomer Deniro Farrar. Deniro was spitting tracks all night off his new collaborative mix tape with Shady Blaze, KOBK – Kill or be Killed, including Fallen Soldier, a song produced with Main Attraktionz. The CMJ crowd was full of loyal rap fans waiting to hear the new debut album from Squadda B and Mondre, Bossalinis & Fooliyones. Deniro closed to the set with his most popular beats, Genesis a Grimes remix by Deniro’s producer buddy Ryan Hemsworth, but the crowd stormed the stage for Look at the Sky, Deniro’s new cut with hip-hop electric duo Flosstradamus. With Supreme Cuts, Sasha Go Hard, Heems, and Kool A.D. rounding out the showcase, the night turned out to be a dope party of new hip-hops finest.
