ALBUM COVER: CHECK OUT, THE GAME’S ALBUM COVER FOR JESUS PIECE.

If there is any way to describe The Game‘s career, it’s full of controversy. Well, it seems like The Game is pushing us to the edge again. This time it’s with the release of his upcoming album cover. The album’s latest artwork shows Jesus Christ wearing a red bandana wrapped around his face (covering his mouth) and a teardrop tattoo on his face (both which are blood gang affiliated). The image is surrounded by a stained glass with a monogram (with church crosses and gang symbols), a iced-out Jesus piece chain (around the neck of Jesus), marijuana leaves and palm tree symbols .

The image is causing many Christians to speak out, and voice their opinion about the offensiveness of the image. Many are calling The Game‘s latest work of art blasphemous, sacrilegious and disrespectful. But, The Game feels differently and considers the image a reflection of his connection with Jesus.

The Game’s fifth album titled, Jesus Piece, will be available on December 11th. The project will feature Dr. Dre, Pharrell, Lil Wayne, Tyga, Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown and Kanye West, amongst others. The Game’s latest album cover succeeds other controversial album covers from rappers 2 Live Crew, Ice Cube, N.W.A., Kanye West, Ice – T, The Roots, Parris, Nas, Luke, The Coup, Public Enemy, Dead Prez, 2Pac and many others, that released albums containing offensive images in the past.
