Santlov, an equally avid photographer and toy lover, has made a name for himself by creating amusing settings for all of those familiar childhood toys. As kids everyone wonders if their toys came to life, and in a very real way Santlov achieves just that. He tends to set the figurines in banal situations, which makes their originality even more appealing.
Outside of the original setting, Santlov shows a great understanding of proportions and depth. He is able to draw the viewer into a blank background through the power of his lens, and in doing so he decides which angle he wants the viewer to see the scene through.
