Charlie Isoe is an Australian street artist now living in Berlin. His passion for a new world of graffiti, skateboarding and traveling dictates his artistic process.
He says of his images, ” [they] all in some way or another come from my observations and experiences. They aren’t necessarily like literal representations of exactly what is in front of me… I don’t want to be a camera.” Isoe tries to highlight elements of life people too often overlook. He feels that a sense of exploitation overrides our days. When asked about his favorite mediums he says, “I use a lot of different things.. paint mostly… I like scratching into things with the bottom of a can or something sharp and metal. Sometimes I build things out of stuff I find in the street, or in abandoned buildings or dumpsters. Often my work has spit or cum or blood in it, sometimes by accident sometimes intentionally.”
His work is about living a moment and transcribing it onto a surface. You can find some of his work across the globe from Thailand to Germany.
