Hip-hop’s own revolutionist, Lupe Fiasco, has created his own lane in the culture with strong critism of the American government and a distaste for the image of the typical rapper. He recently participated in a lecture series presented by 2-Cents.com at Xavier University. Producer, Mannie Fresh sat down and asked Lupe questions about his name, industry politics, and the current state of hip-hop.
Lupe is preparing his latest album Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 already releasing the first two singles: “Bad Bitch” and “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free).” He’s gearing up for the release of the third single “Lamborghini Angels,” but before its August 14th release he tweeted a warning to his listeners.
