Way before Frank Ocean’s channel ORANGE surfaced, OutKast challenged the way we thought about hip-hop music. These genre-bending ATLiens were the predecessors to singsong hip-hop fusions like Drake and Kid Cudi.
According to Big Boi’s Twitter, Frank’s “Pink Matter” featuring Andre 3000 was supposed to feature him as well. Andre supposedly thwarted the collaboration, opting that the world should hear the duo together on their own terms and not on someone else’s LP. Big Boi also claimed it happened previously with a T.I. record. Hopefully, we’ll hear more soon about this unraveling story.
